StartX is a collection of 1800+ serial entrepreneurs, industry experts, tenured Stanford professors, and 700+ well-funded growth-stage startups, including Patreon, Kodiak Sciences (IPO), Lime, Eargo (IPO), Protocol Labs, Ethos Insurance, OpenSea, Nearpod, Lucira (IPO) and more. They believe that as entrepreneurs they can achieve more as a group than they can as individuals. As a community, their goal is to find creative ways to collaborate so that each of their companies can have a long-term positive impact on the world. From this, they designed the StartX Community: a community for founders who don't need to give up equity.

The StartX experience as we know it was developed through $7M+ in grant funding from Stanford University & Stanford Health Care to support the Stanford entrepreneurship ecosystem. To date, Stanford University and Stanford Health Care have deployed a combined $200M to ensure the StartX community and StartX organization will be self-sufficient in perpetuity. StartX itself is an independent non-profit from Stanford University, to ensure that there is a clear separation of IP between any research at Stanford and the work your team is doing to bring impact to real patients and industry.

Founder-Driven Communities: Founders have access to email lists that reach specific communities. There are lists for biotech, edtech, hardware, female founders, international, and more.
Executive Communities: For later-stage companies, StartX also offers executive communities around marketing, sales, hiring, scaling engineering and more. This support ecosystem has proven invaluable for founders who are scaling their companies and want to better equip their executives and other managers with a peer group from which to learn and share ideas.
